Smart Start Nursing Orientation

Smart Start Orientation provides prospective Nursing students with a realistic view of competitive admission processes and the commitment required to be successful in the TCC Nursing program. 

Completing the Nursing Smart Start Orientation is mandatory before enrolling for the upcoming semester or applying to the Nursing program.

In-person Smart Start events are available for the Fall 2026 semester. Register now to reserve your seat or complete our online, self-paced orientation session at a time that works for you.

If you have questions, please schedule a Starfish appointment with your assigned academic advisor. If you do not have an assigned advisor, then please visit with academic advising.

You can find instructions about making an appointment with your assigned advisor and meeting with academic advising on a walk-in basis at academic advising.

You can find your assigned academic advisor through Starfish:

  1. Log in to Starfish.
  2. From My Success Network, click the triangle beside your advisor’s name, then select Schedule Appointment.
  3. Select the type of appointment, adjust the date range as needed to find days and times that work for your schedule, then select a time from the list.
  4. Complete your sign-up by choosing your location (in-person, virtual, or phone appointment) and add a description of why you want to meet.
  5. Click confirm to finish scheduling the appointment.
