Your college dreams are within reach. You can make them a reality, and we're here to support you in the following ways.
- Information on high school equivalency (GED/HiSet) classes
- Online Tutoring for GED, HiSet, ACT, SAT or other precollege exams (multilingual)
- GED/HiSet test vouchers for eligible clients who are low-income or in financial hardship
- Information on different types of financial aid - i.e. Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), federal student loans, federal work-study, scholarships, and Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant (OTAG)
- Information and guidance on financial aid processes - i.e. verification process and setting up a payment plan
- Reviewing outstanding balances, defaulted loans, and Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Creating and resetting FSA IDs
- Attend our workshop and get help completing the FAFSA
- Information and guidance on admission processes to ANY postsecondary education institution - i.e. applications, placement testing, orientation, campus tours
- Information on ANY trade/vocational, 2-year or 4-year schools and opportunities - i.e. profit vs. non-profit schools, cost of tuition, location, scholarship opportunities and length of programs
Information and guidance on the enrollment processes to ANY postsecondary education institution - i.e. academic advising, course/degree planning, obtaining a student ID, and study habits
Information and guidance on a variety of career paths - i.e. assessment, advising, job shadowing/mentorship
Information and guidance on financial literacy - i.e. building/improving credit score, budgeting, saving/checking/investing accounts, emergency funds, and retirement
- Information on English as a Second Language (ESL) classes
- Information on literacy (reading and writing) classes
- Information on basic computer classes
- Information on transportation services
- Information on childcare providers
- Information on health services
- Information on food pantries
Intake Process
- Schedule an appointment with a TRIO/EOC Academic Counselor listed below.
- Complete our TRIO/EOC Intake Form
- Complete the Individual Education Plan & Documentation of Services Form with your TRIO/EOC Academic Counselor.
- If you not are not considered an "independent," complete the Dependent Income Verification Form.
Eligibility Criteria
You must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen, be at least 19 years old and reside in Tulsa, Creek, or Osage County. You must not have previously obtained a four-year college degree and be interested in pursuing a higher education program.
Preference is given to individuals who are low-income (150 percent below the poverty level) AND potential first-generation college students. First-generation is defined as individuals for whom neither parent has a four-year college degree.
