This course will teach you basic landscape architecture and how it plays a large part in our everyday life. The course will cover plant materials and how to best use them in your design and teach you quick yard fixes. "This is a workshop class; the last class will be a walk on campus". 

Raised bed gardening has recently become popular for many reasons. Raised beds help extend your growing season and can help relieve the amount of bending and pressure on your back. This class will explore many things to consider before installing a raised bed garden such as style of bed and location. You will also learn when to and where to begin plant development for your beds.
